Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology
The IAMI GUEST Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology course is designed to give junior stews and everyone interested in beverage service the foundations of wine knowledge including varities of grapes, wine serving and storage, different types of spirits, garnishing, and making classic cocktails, such as margarita, whiskey sour, mojito, cosmopolitan etc.
The course is recommended for the beginners in the superyacht industry aiming to work in a stew or deck/stew role with little to no experience in bartending.
IMPORTANT: You must be at least 18 years old to attend the course.
Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology course forms a part of the 5-day Yacht Steward/ess training, the IAMI / GUEST approved interior introductory program. The completion of the full course allows trainees to obtain four certificates required to apply for GUEST Hospitality Certificate of Comptency (CoC).

About the course
The Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology course is a great start for everyone looking to gain knowledge and practical skills in bartending. A one day course includes a number of workshops during which the students learn about:

Certification
Upon successful completion of the module and assessments, students are awarded an IAMI GUEST Certificate of Completion through IAMI Certificate platform.
IAMI/ GUEST Program
The Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology module is a part of introductory yacht interior training (Yacht Steward/ess course). The Yacht Steward/ess training is a 5-day course that gives trainees a comprehensive overview of yachting industry and working on yachts (Introduction to Yachting and Yachting Life), Basic Housekeeping & Laundry Services, and Basic Food and Beverage Services. GUEST / IAMI Program is designed to meet the standards of the superyacht industry, and all the training is specifically tailored to the tasks carried out by interior crew.
